The management of the Siparia Deltones Steel Orchestra is mourning the death of its band captain, conductor and drill master, George Caesar, who passed away on the morning of Boxing Day.

In a statement, the organisation described his passing as a tremendous loss to the band and the wider community.

“With heavy hearts, the management of Siparia Deltones regret to announce the passing of our dearly beloved band captain, conductor and drill master, Mr George Caesar. His passing is a tremendous loss to Siparia Deltones and the wider community,” the statement said.
