(Kaieteur News) – In a bid to better prepare Guyanese businesses to take advantage of local content opportunities, the Government of Guyana is urging oil and gas companies to publish upcoming contracts.
Director of the Local Content Secretariat, Michael Munroe during the Guyana Supplier Forum at the Marriott Hotel in Georgetown said this was important as the country looks to grow its supply chain to service the industry.

“While we are speaking about growth, we think it’s important for the companies to first and foremost…let Guyanese businesses grow through your supply chain and grow through the procurement opportunities that you provide and it’s important that you provide an early pipeline as to what upcoming opportunities are on the horizon,” Munroe explained.
