(Kaieteur News) – ExxonMobil and its partners have spent US$3.6B in Guyana to date of the US$55B the company has spent to develop the Stabroek Block resources.
This was revealed by President of ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL), Alistair Routledge. He said, “Collectively the industry has spent over US$3.6B in local companies. These are significant numbers and significant contributions, but in the theme of going beyond frontiers our ambition continues to be higher than that.”
“This is tremendous progress by any metric in any other country but we believe that there is a lot more we can do and so the collaboration as we continue to move forward and the discussions at the (2027 Guyana Energy) conference will be incredibly important to ensure that we can continue to do that,” the Country Manager added.
