The Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) has urged employees of the National Works Agency (NWA) to end their industrial action pending discussions with the agency's management and the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.
On Tuesday, the JCSA had stated that approximately 78 workers had indicated their intention to withdraw their services if urgent action was not taken to resolve longstanding concerns relating to staff restructuring and reclassification.
In a media release Wednesday evening, it said the NWA's management has since reached out to the Association and a meeting has been scheduled for next week Tuesday at 10 a.m.
