Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar has re­aligned Min­is­te­r­i­al re­spon­si­bil­i­ties for 10 plus front­line Min­is­ters - in­clud­ing  Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Roger Alexan­der who's now re­spon­si­ble for the prison sys­tem.

And the PM's of­fice will now hold more re­spon­si­bil­i­ties- apart from Con­sti­tu­tion­al Re­form- for the Hous­ing and Vil­lage Im­prove­ment Pro­gramme (HVIP) and oth­er pub­lic as­sis­tance pro­grammes.

The re­align­ment be­came ef­fec­tive last Sat­ur­day.
