The body of 44-year-old nurse Mar­i­an Bac­chus was found in her Vista­bel­la apart­ment on Sun­day night.

Po­lice said she was dis­cov­ered with a wound to the neck and a knife near­by. An au­top­sy will de­ter­mine whether the in­jury was self-in­flict­ed.

Of­fi­cers said her 69-year-old land­lord con­tact­ed them around 8:10 p.m. af­ter rel­a­tives told him they had been un­able to reach her by phone. They said the rel­a­tives had vis­it­ed her apart­ment but got no re­sponse.
