The OPPOSITION has accused the Government of selling citizens a 'pie in the sky' vision with its proposal to establish two artificial intelligence (AI) data centres in Trinidad and Tobago.
Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzales made the criticism yesterday during a news conference at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition on Charles Street in Port of Spain in response to the announcement that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and Hummingbird AI Holdings LLC to establish a framework for preliminary cooperation, due diligence and coordination for a proposed 150-megawatt artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centre facility.
