The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPost) has denied allegations circulating on social media that its delivery officers were responsible for discarding electoral poll cards found scattered on what appears to be a sidewalk.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, TTPost described the video as “entirely baseless” and labeled it a “deliberate attempt at political mischief aimed at eroding public confidence” in the national postal service. TTPost said that its personnel followed strict delivery protocols and that the cards in question were not discarded by any of its employees.
“TTPost upholds stringent protocols and oversight mechanisms in the handling and distribution of electoral poll cards,” the statement read.
