People’s National Movement (PNM) chairman Marvin Gonzales is calling on the Prime Minister to provide information on her meeting with chairman of the United States (US) Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine .
The meeting took place at the Diplomatic Centre in Port of Spain.
Speaking yesterday at a news conference at the Office of the Opposition Leader in the capital city, Gonzales said the PNM values the country’s relationship with the US. “And I do know as a former minister of national security, the importance of collaborating with the US on issues of national security, regional security, transnational crime. And the collaboration with the United States is very important and it is one that we should maintain. It is not only cultural, it is economic and what have you,” he said.
