A 15-year-old Petit Valley girl died on Wednesday after collapsing at her family's home, and police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Amy Reverand, of Cassia Drive, Petit Valley, was pronounced dead at the St James Infirmary shortly after 5 p.m.

According to a police report, Amy's mother, Maria Walcott, told investigators that around 3.45 p.m. her daughter complained of a headache. Walcott said she offered the teenager some soup to eat and, a short time later, Amy went to use the bathroom.
