SOCIAL media blogger Rhoda Bharath has been directed by the High Court to pay $75,000 to Oropouche East MP Dr Roodal Moonilal for d­e­famation of character five years ago.

In addition to the compensatory award, Bharath was also directed by Justice Margaret Mohammed yesterday to bear Moonilal’s pres­cribed legal cost in the sum of $19,000.

Minutes after the ru­ling was delivered, Bha­rath took to Facebook and announced her defeat to Moonilal.
