ENERGY Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal has won a major step in his lawsuit against columnist and talk show host Juliet Davy for defamation of character.
The Appeal Court on Monday confirmed an earlier decision that said Davy and the now-defunct T&T Mirror newspaper had defamed Moonilal.
However, Davy still has the right to take her case to the Privy Council in London, England, which is this country’s highest court for appeal.
