Po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tors will be seek­ing ad­vice from the Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions on what charges, if any, would be laid against a man who re­port­ed­ly as­sault­ed a woman at a taxi stand in Tu­na­puna last week.

In a video cir­cu­lat­ed on so­cial me­dia last week, the man was seen beat­ing the woman at a street off the East­ern Main Road.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said based on ini­tial in­for­ma­tion, the woman con­front­ed the man at the taxi stand, where she ac­cused him of not pay­ing child sup­port.
