With mere weeks until the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination, the home of a 12-year-old who is due to write the exam has been gutted by fire.
The incident has left a gloomy atmosphere with the family as her 17-year-old sister, a Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) candidate, is in shock; while their nine-year-old sister has been left traumatised, wondering where the family is going to live.
Around 2.30 p.m. on Monday, the girls’ mother, Christine Seepersad, got a phone call from a neighbour that their Third Company, Moruga, home was on fire. She became confused, and her employer, a doubles vendor, had to help her calm down.
