Residents of Wallerfield, Arima, are calling on the police to increase patrols following a series of robberies and break-ins within the last couple of weeks.
In the latest incident, around 3.30 am on Friday, a 77-year-old pensioner, along with his 71-year-old wife, was asleep in the bedroom when they were awakened by a loud noise.
Upon checking, the man was confronted by seven masked men, one of whom was armed with a gun.
