SOME Venezuelan migrants and local migrant groups say they are still awaiting an update from Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander on the Migrant Registration Framework (MRF) process after more than six months without an official update.
On Friday, on the Brian Lara Promenade in Port of Spain, Anna Remundo, who came from Caracas, told the Express: 'I registered in 2019 and earlier on this year. I am waiting. It's frustrating. We are waiting to hear about our fate.'
At Excellent City Centre Mall, Frederick Street, Port of Spain, janitor Maria Gonzales said: 'She is waiting.' Her husband, who wished to remain unnamed, said: 'Let the process go through. Everything will happen in time.'
