KINGSTON, Jamaica — A St Catherine businessman who reportedly fled the country following a 2024 shooting incident has been charged after being deported to Jamaica more than two years later.
Charged is 38-year-old Chavis Peart, otherwise called “Geezy” or “Baller” of Jumbling Place, Portmore, St Catherine. He faces charges of three counts of wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The charges stem from an incident along Leith Avenue, Kingston 13, on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
