Reg­is­tra­tion for sev­er­al ma­jor ca­lyp­so com­pe­ti­tions opened yes­ter­day, with TU­CO ad­vis­ing all na­tion­als and nat­u­ralised cit­i­zens of Trinidad and To­ba­go to come for­ward.

In a state­ment is­sued yes­ter­day, the Trin­ba­go Uni­fied Ca­lyp­so­ni­ans’ Or­gan­i­sa­tion said reg­is­tra­tion for the 2026 Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Com­pe­ti­tions opened at 9 am yes­ter­day at all five TU­CO Zon­al Of­fices na­tion­wide.

Reg­is­tra­tion for the Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Monarch Com­pe­ti­tion will run un­til Jan­u­ary 9, while the Na­tion­al Ex­tem­po Monarch and the Na­tion­al Freestyle Monarch will close on Jan­u­ary 30. In­ter­est­ed artistes have un­til Jan­u­ary 13 and Feb­ru­ary 13 to reg­is­ter for the Na­tion­al Ju­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch and the Na­tion­al Road March Com­pe­ti­tion, re­spec­tive­ly.
