The TrinÂbaÂgo UniÂfied CaÂlypÂsoÂniÂans’ OrÂganÂiÂsaÂtion (TUÂCO) has anÂnounced that its inÂterÂnal elecÂtions will be held on JuÂly 12, folÂlowÂing months of mountÂing presÂsure from stakeÂholdÂers in the culÂturÂal comÂmuÂniÂty in the afÂterÂmath of the CarÂniÂval 2026 seaÂson.
The orÂganÂiÂsaÂtion alÂso forÂmalÂly conÂfirmed the dates for all of its naÂtionÂal exÂecÂuÂtive elecÂtions, endÂing weeks of specÂuÂlaÂtion withÂin the enÂterÂtainÂment inÂdusÂtry about when the govÂernÂing caÂlypÂso body would reÂturn to its memÂberÂship for a manÂdate.
In a meÂdia reÂlease yesÂterÂday, TUÂCO said its long-anÂticÂiÂpatÂed elecÂtions will take place on JuÂly 12 and this will be preÂcedÂed by its AnÂnuÂal GenÂerÂal MeetÂing (AGM) on June 20 at the NaÂtionÂal CarÂniÂval ComÂmisÂsion’s VIP Lounge at the Queen’s Park SaÂvanÂnah, Port-of-Spain.
