(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Power and Light Incorporated on Friday revealed that it has removed 400 illegal connections from Coverden, East Bank Demerara.
In a statement, the company said its loss reduction department, conducted an exercise in the area, to identify and remove illegal electricity connections, it was during this operation that the illegal connections were discovered and removed.
“Coverden is the fourth location targeted as part of GPL’s ongoing campaign to curb electricity theft as far as practically possible. Similar exercises will continue in communities across the country,” GPL said.
