A lobby is mounting for the restoration of Guaracara Park in Pointe-a-Pierre, as promoters and sporting bodies search for alternative event spaces in light of new restrictions on major entertainment venues.
The call follows Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s announcement two Tuesdays ago that there will be no Carnival fetes at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BLCA), or any facilities operated by the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT).
