The Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter (OPM) has spent near­ly six months de­cid­ing whether to grant a Free­dom of In­for­ma­tion re­quest for records show­ing how many over­seas trips the Prime Min­is­ter took, who trav­elled with her and the cost it had on tax­pay­ers.

Last Fri­day, in re­sponse to Guardian Me­dia, the OPM sought a fifth 30-day ex­ten­sion, say­ing on­ly that the ap­pli­ca­tion was “cur­rent­ly re­ceiv­ing at­ten­tion”.

The lat­est ex­ten­sion comes af­ter the Of­fice said it need­ed le­gal ad­vice from the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al be­cause of the “high-lev­el na­ture” of meet­ings at­tend­ed dur­ing those trips.
