ATTORNEYS for television personality Ian Alleyne have pushed back against a request by San Fernando Mayor Robert Parris' legal team for more time to respond to a pre-action protocol letter, dismissing it as 'unreasonable and unnecessary'.

In a letter dated January 10, Alleyne's lawyer, Devi Ramnarine, who continues to instruct lead counsel Saira Lakhan, challenged the need for a 28-day extension sought by Parris' attorneys.

The request followed their client's blanket denial of all allegations outlined in Alleyne's pre-action protocol letter.
