The United National Congress (UNC) intends to expand the marijuana industry as part of its agricultural policy should it win the general election.

The party continued to provide information from its manifesto yesterday, circulating information on diversifying the economy through measures such as expanding the cannabis industry.

The party has been rolling out “mini-festos” addressing various areas such as crime, education, labour, health, and more. The UNC had first rolled out its manifesto addressing crime, which encompassed crime-fighting plans outlined by Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar over the past five years.
