THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AFP) â The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) said Friday it had filed a complaint to the public prosecutor over racist messages posted in the wake of the countryâs exit from the World Cup.
The Oranjeâs defeat to Morocco in a penalty shoot-out on Monday sparked an outpouring of social media abuse directed notably at black Dutch players.
The KNVB said it was transferring the messages to the public prosecutorâs office for further legal action.
