The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is celebrating major success after officers were honoured at the 40th Annual Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police Conference in Suriname, ranking among the best in the Caribbean.
Among the top awards, Inspector Tricia Smith was named Top Caribbean Crime Fighter, while Sergeant Jacey Small was awarded Top Caribbean Community Policing Officer.
Sergeant Small’s recognition marks a historic first for Trinidad and Tobago in that category, with his work in the Central Division credited for reducing serious and violent crime while strengthening community engagement and youth programmes.
