Local government councillor Anil Baliram, who was hospitalised following an incident at his home last week is improving at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH).
The Express was informed that Baliram was removed from the intensive care unit and is now breathing independently.
Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation (CTTRC) Ryan Rampersad said yesterday that the family has asked for privacy at this time.
