FORMER president of the Hindu Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd Harry Harnarine says that nearly 12 years after Sir Anthony Colman submitted his report on the commission of enquiry into the failed institution, he has still never been questioned by police.
“No police has ever questioned me or any member of the board. I am still awaiting to see what will happen,” Harnarine told the Sunday Express yesterday.
On November 10, 2010, then-president Prof George Maxwell Richards appointed Sir Anthony Colman as the lone commissioner of the enquiry into the failure of CL Financial and several related entities, including Colonial Life Insurance Company (Trinidad) Ltd, CLICO Investment Bank Ltd, British American Insurance Company (Trinidad) Ltd, Caribbean Money Market Brokers Ltd, and the Hindu Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd.
