Police are investigating a suspected homicide after the body of a man was discovered early Friday on the pavement outside Republic Bank on Abercromby Street, Port of Spain.

Officers of the CID Area West responded to the report and found the lifeless body of a male of mixed descent lying face down with blood visible near his head.

The Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region 1), along with the district medical officer and Crime Scene Unit personnel, were called in to process the scene.
