PORT ANTONIO, Portland — Twenty-eight Haitians who arrived illegally in Jamaica on Monday were returned to Haiti on Thursday night after being processed by the relevant authorities.
The group, which landed in the Passley Gardens area, was intercepted by the Portland police in three separate batches. They were subsequently processed by the police, the health department and immigration officials.
The migrants comprised 21 men, four women and three children.
