The government is exploring new ways to facilitate vending along Woolford Avenue following the completion of the first phase of infrastructure upgrades along the corridor.
Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Priya Manickchand, accompanied by Permanent Secretary Miguel Choo-Kang, met with vendors on Monday to discuss their concerns and possible arrangements for vending in the area.
During the engagement, the minister stressed that the displacement of vendors was not the objective of the infrastructure works.
