Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has assured that the Government is in ongoing consultations with the Tobago House of Assembly on the regulation of jet skis and other pleasure craft.
Responding to a question in the Lower House on Friday, the Prime Minister extended her condolences to the family of seven-year-old Angelica Jogie, who died on April 8th when a jet ski ploughed into her and members of her family while they were bathing at the Pigeon Point Heritage Park.
The Prime Minister also pointed to legislative inaction by the former administration, saying opportunities to prevent such incidents had long existed but were not acted upon.
