A police operation in Claxton Bay yesterday ended in gunfire when officers confronted three suspected drug dealers, leaving one man critically wounded, another under arrest, and a third on the run.
According to reports, around 11:20 a.m. officers from the St. Margaret’s Police District were on mobile patrol in the Gasparillo area when they received intelligence of armed men conducting a drug transaction at Forres Park Trace, Claxton Bay.
The team proceeded to the location in a police vehicle. On foot patrol along a steep track, the officers spotted three men under a galvanise roofing sheet shed.
