ONE hundred and fourteen Form One students of Holy Name Convent received laptops yesterday as the Ministry of Education continued its national laptop distribution programme.
The distribution forms part of the Government’s initiative to ensure that students are equipped with the digital tools needed for learning at the secondary school level.
Minister of Education Dr Michael Dowlath delivered the feature address at the ceremony, urging students to use the devices to strengthen not only their academic performance but also their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. “These laptops and the software that will go with it will be creating opportunities—new ways for you to get knowledge and information, but what really is important is the way in which you use that knowledge.”
