The University of the West Indies (The UWI) St. Augustine Campus has enforced its ‘No Thoroughfare Zone’ Policy from Monday, September 14, 2026 as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen traffic management and enhance safety and security for all Campus users.
From Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays, vehicles displaying valid 2026/2027 UWI Vehicle Permits may enter the Campus via the North Gate, near Republic Bank, or the South Gate, closest to the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
Vehicles without valid 2026/2027 UWI Vehicle Permits will be redirected to the Visitors’ Entrance (Daaga Gate) on St. Augustine Circular Road, opposite Freedom Hall, where more stringent security screening will be in effect before access to the Campus is granted.
