The Judicial Service Commission has announced that Zanna Frank has been appointed to the post of Registrar of Deeds of the Deeds Registry with effect from July 1, 2026. Frank’s appointment comes two weeks after Registrar of Deeds Azeena Baksh was appointed to the position of puisne judge.
The new Registrar of Deeds obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Guyana in 2012 and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in 2014. She also attained a diploma in public management in 2007 and a master’s in public policy and administration in 2023. Frank had been appointed to the post of Deputy Registrar of Deeds at the Deeds Registry in 2016, a position she held until the date of this appointment.
