About 100 employees of petrochemical company Proman Trinidad—the largest tenant on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate—are being laid off.
The company’s staff members were notified yesterday in an e-mailed notice.
The notice, obtained by the Express, stated that individual consultations were conducted with the impacted employees yesterday and that the process has resulted in a 9% reduction of the local workforce.
