Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar is urgĀing citĀiĀzens to play a greater role in reĀducĀing crime, sayĀing pubĀlic safeĀty is a shared reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty and not soleĀly the job of the counĀtry's law enĀforceĀment agenĀcies.
In a FaceĀbook post, PerĀsad-BissesĀsar said reĀducĀing crime "is not onĀly the reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty of our poĀlice and seĀcuĀriĀty forces. It is the reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty of every one of us."
While notĀing that gang-reĀlatĀed murĀders conĀtinĀue to deĀcline, the Prime MinĀisĀter said too many peoĀple are still losĀing their lives beĀcause of anger, reĀvenge and doĀmesĀtic disĀputes.
