Anderson Marcano has been proclaimed the new King of the Rock after defeating defending champion O'Neill Odle in the final round of the National Stickfighting Competition on Wednesday night.

The competition took place at Skinner Park, San Fernando.

The announcement came via a media release that was sent out by the National Carnival Commission (NCC) which stated that the bout was marked by intense competition and generous outpouring of public support. It further stated that Wednesday night’s showdown between Marcano and Odle surpassed all expectations, “setting itself as one of the most entertaining finals in recent history.”
