Hiker Renold Ramdial was a scout leader of the Fifth Naparima Scout Group and was on a scouting expedition when he died.
His dedication to the movement was on Saturday recognised by the South Central Scout District which offered condolences on his passing.
Ramdial, 52, of Princes Town, was in Blanchissesue for four days with the Fifth Naparima Scout Group. Although he was administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), there was the intervention of members of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard and he was treated at the Blanchisseuse Health Centre, but he passed away.
