Three women have been slapped with embezzlement charges after investigators uncovered what police say was a months-long scheme that allegedly saw nearly $1.8 million siphoned from a food store in St Andrew through fake refunds.
Charged are 35-year-old Joedi Kay Harrison of Dunoon Road, Kingston 2; 39-year-old Tanese Wade of Mount Friendship, Mount James, St Andrew; and 46-year-old Nickeisha Evans of Darley Crescent, St Andrew.
According to investigators, the alleged fraud took place between October 2025 and April 2026 at a food store on Constant Spring Road.
