POLICE shot and killed two bandits yesterday during a sting operation where officers attempted to arrest men who used Facebook Marketplace as a cover to lure victims.

In an immediate response, Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro warned potential criminals to 'expect to meet officers who are trained, prepared and ready to act'.

In a statement yesterday, police said officers from the North Central Division, working alongside a specialist unit, posed as prospective buyers of a vehicle advertised for sale.
