Attorney General John Jeremie, SC, said he must first consult with government ministers selected by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in order to establish government's legislative agenda for the new parliament.
He spoke to Newsday on May 7 at the swearing-in ceremony for Trade, Investment and Tourism Minister Kama Maharaj and Minister in the Minister of Housing Phillip Edward Alexander at President's House, St Ann's.
Asked when he expected Parliament to start, he said, "Later on this month. We have a Cabinet meeting tomorrow."
