The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has announced a series of major infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the reliability of water supply to residents along Trinidad’s North Coast.
In a release issued following a site visit on Saturday 19 July 2025, WASA said upgrades are planned for water production facilities in Rincon, Tyrico, Las Cuevas and La Fillette, with a new plant to be constructed in Blanchisseuse.
These works, the Authority said, will help shift communities from the current 24/2 supply schedule to a more consistent 24/5 service. The long-term goal is to provide a full 24/7 supply across the Maracas Region.
