A 22-year-old Arima man is missing and feared drowned after he disappeared while swimming at Penzance Beach, Balandra, on Thursday afternoon.

Police identified him as Andrew Curtis Clarke of Ackbarali Street, East Malabar.

Reports said Clarke was at the beach with relatives and friends around 1:40 p.m., playing football along the shoreline, when the ball drifted into the water. Clarke, dressed in black beach shorts, swam about 100 feet from shore to retrieve it when he began struggling in the water.
