Police say the three people arrested during Wednesday’s protest by supporters of Kaia Sealy in Port of Spain were charged under the Emergency Powers Regulations and the Summary Offences Act.
Protest organiser Alyssa Phillip, her mother Camille Caresquero, and social media personality Jason De Silva were released after 8 p.m. on Thursday after spending just over 24 hours in custody.
Police sources said yesterday they were each placed on a bond of $40,000, signed by a Justice of the Peace, and are expected to appear before a Port of Spain court on Monday.
