A BARRACKPORE man has been sentenced to death by hanging for the 2024 killings of his common-law wife and their infant daughter, following a judge-alone trial.
The sentence was imposed on Monday by Justice Nalini Singh, who found 31-year-old Rishi Motilal guilty on two counts of murder. Motilal, also known as “Cook Meat,” was convicted for the deaths of 31-year-old Tara “Geeta” Ramsaroop and their 14-month-old daughter, Shermaya Motilal.
MURDERED: Tara Ramsaroop and her daughter, Jada.
