The Guyana Prison Service (GPS) is strengthened with 32 new officers after an intensive three-month training programme under Recruit Course 3/2026.
The recruits have undergone rigorous training to prepare for essential roles in prison administration, inmate rehabilitation support, facility operations, and broader national security functions.
Their deployment will significantly enhance the GPS’s capacity, while offering young Guyanese dignified career pathways within one of the country’s key security institutions.
