AUDITOR General Jaiwantie Ramdass has withdrawn her claim for judicial review against the past Cabinet over its decision last May to launch an investigation into her conduct arising out of a $2.6 billion understatement in the country’s 2023 financial accounts.
A consent order was entered yesterday by Justice Joan Charles after Ramdass’ attorneys, led by Anand Ramlogan, SC, indicated she wished to discontinue the court action.
This was because in February, the then-Cabinet also decided to discontinue its investigation into Ramdass.
