KINGSTON, Jamaica — A major multi-agency operation is underway at the Kingston Container Terminal after police uncovered a suspected cocaine smuggling network linked to the facility.
The operation, led by the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) and the Jamaica Customs Agency, with support from the Specialised Operations Branch, follows the seizure of cocaine valued at approximately $1 billion earlier this week.
Several employees at the terminal have been arrested as investigators probe their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking syndicate operating from the facility.
